About Janelle Ault
Janelle Ault is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (90564) and specializes in adolescent and family, young adult, and entertainment industry counseling services. She has studied adolescent culture for more than a decade and understands the current teen landscape. When Janelle says she is passionate about working with teens, she really means it.
The teen years are a season unlike any other. We have an opportunity to meet teens where they are and prevent budding issues from becoming larger challenges later in adulthood.
As the founder of Teen Translation, Janelle has worked with various high school populations, providing services for students, adolescent groups, and families on school campuses and in her private practice. She collaborated closely with San Gabriel Unified School District’s Wellness Center, joining the staff as a clinical supervisor where she mentored clinicians in training and crafted psycho-educational materials for students, parents, and staff.
Janelle has taught Child and Adolescent Therapy at the graduate level and enjoyed being an adjunct faculty member at Fuller Graduate School of Psychology. As an educator, she continues to speak at youth groups, parent education gatherings, and schools.
Janelle is currently meeting in person via her Mill Valley private practice, while also meeting via Telehealth with California residents across the state.
Janelle also specializes in counseling entertainment industry professionals and teens, empowering positive management of the challenges and stressors associated with pursuing a career in the entertainment industry.
Janelle completed her dual Masters in 2010, obtaining a Master of Science in Marital and Family Therapy from Fuller Graduate School of Psychology and a Master of Arts in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts and Broadcast Journalism from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA.
